Nearly eight in ten Swedes believe it is common for adults to become intoxicated around children during Christmas. New survey data from Systembolaget, together with rising call volumes to Bris, highlights how adults’ drinking continues to affect children during the holidays.

The A-Clinic Foundation’s Fragile Childhood programme has launched the Luottoaikuiset (“Trusted Adults”) campaign to highlight the importance of safe, caring adults in children’s and young people’s lives. Supported by Maaret Kallio and Matti Rönkä, the campaign shares real-life stories and encourages adults to be present and set a positive example, especially where alcohol-related harm affects wellbeing.
